Tony Scott keen on Top Gun 2
Despite being possibly the most ’80s film ever committed to celluloid, talk of a Top Gun sequel continues to buzz around Hollywood, with director Tony Scott revealing he’d be willing to take up the reins for a second outing. “I don’t want to do a remake,” he told HitFix. “I don’t want to do a reinvention. I want to do a new movie. I’m not waiting for a script. I’m going to do my homework.”

It would totally have to stay in the eighties to keep it’s charm. And no ‘older, wiser’ Cruise - if anyone’s found themselves regressing to the mental age of a five-year-old over time, it’s Tommy boy.
