New Dark Knight Rises set photo
A new set photo from The Dark Knight Rises has appeared, showing a masked stuntman climbing out of a building. The blockbuster sequel is currently filming in Croydon, London, where this low-res snap was taken.
Rumours have the production moving to Scotland soon where Inverness Airport is likely to double as Gotham City airport or a private runway. While the airport’s management didn’t confirm that Rises would be filming there, Highland News got confirmation that they “have entered into a contract with a film production company.”
Batman-News scooped that Osterley Park House in London, which was scouted by Nolan, is to close from June 15-17 and on June 22. Some rooms will be closed until July 3. The stately home is likely to double for interior shots in the film, which should feature a re-built Wayne Manor.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Dark Knight Rises character revealed
Since Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s name was linked to The Dark Knight Rises, there has been a ton of speculation surrounding which character he’ll play.
It has finally been announced by Variety (via WorstPreviews) that Inception actor J G-L has been cast as Alberto Falcone in Christopher Nolan’s feverishly-anticipated trilogy closer.
Alberto is the son of mob boss Carmine Falcone, played by Tom Wilkinson in Batman Begins.
Juno Temple could be joining The Dark Knight Rises
British actress Juno Temple is in talks to join The Dark Knight Rises, according to a report by Variety (via The Playlist).
Variety also confirmed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is 100% officially signed on for Christopher Nolan’s threequel (this seemed pretty much certain anyway, but it’s nice to have it in writing).
There’s not much info on Temple’s character yet, only that she’ll be playing “a street-smart Gotham girl.” This is bound to cause intense fanboy speculation: could she be linked to Anne Hathaway’s Selina Kyle?
She does have the kind of quirky looks that would be ideal for Harley Quinn too, so don’t expect that to go unmentioned.

OK, so you know that Tom Hardy is already confirmed for Dark Knight Rises, but now the rumour mill has him attached to the role of Dr Hugo Strange.

Christopher Nolan is meeting with actresses in their late 20s / early 30s for ‘the prospective female lead’ in Batman 3. Many news sites are seeing this as definite confirmation that Selina Kyle’s Catwoman is a shoe-in for The Dark Knight follow-up.
