Cannes 2011: Cillian Murphy meets Wayfaring Strangers
Irish actor Cillian Murphy is in talks to join Wayfaring Strangers, a WWII-set thriller.
An Irish-French co-production, the film sees a group of elite British paratroopers captured by German soldiers and held in a remote farmhouse, where a young Jewish couple have also taken refuge.
Acting legend Sir Michael Gambon along with French stars Sylvie Testud (La Vie En Rose) and Niels Arestrup (Un Prophet) are also in talks to round out the cast.
So Murphy and Gambon in the same pic, with a psychological-thriller angle on a World War II story? Sounds good to us.
