Harry Potter went out with a bang this weekend – the boy wizard’s last ever movie outing smashed box office records as the film rolled out worldwide.Stateside, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 earned a staggering $168m in its first weekend.With that much cash being thrown at it, the final Harry Potter film even managed to top The Dark Knight’s opening weekend record of $158m, creating a new record for the highest ever US opening weekend. Yes, ever.Internationally, Deathly Hallows Part 2 took a further $75m, meaning its total global earnings are actually a Gringotts-busting $250m.

Maggie Smith has one of the less showy roles in the series, but she is never less than excellent whenever she is on-screen. This laugh-out-loud scene is no different.

Total Film recently sat down with Daniel Radcliffe to talk all things Harry Potter.As the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 fast approaches, Radcliffe told us what it was like shooting the final installments without Michael Gambon (AKA Dumbledore).When we asked if he missed Gambon’s presence, Radcliffe responded: “Yes – those scenes with the two of us [in The Half-Blood Prince] were the most fun scenes.“We shot them all in a period of about two months right at the beginning of the film. We were working together almost every day and it was great.”
