When we asked him if he’d be up for a follow up to Matthew Vaughn’s mutant prequel, McAvoy told us, “I’d be up for it. But the truth is I’m contractually obliged to be up for it because they made us all sign multiple picture deals!”
But does he have any idea where the story will go, following on from the ending of First Class?

James McAvoy to replace Michael Fassbender in Danny Boyle’s Trance?
James McAvoy could be replacing his X-Men: First Class co-star Michael Fassbender in Danny Boyle’s next movie Trance.
A remake of the 2003 TV movie, which was directed by Joe Ahearne, Trance follows an art heist that goes wrong.
How so? Well, the heist’s leader receives a blow to the head during one operation, and begins to suffer from amnesia – meaning the location of a painting they’ve nicked is a mystery.
Fassbender was originally in talks to star in the film, but now McAvoy has entered into negotiations, perhaps thanks to the former’s busy schedule.
James McAvoy calls 3D “a waste of time”
James McAvoy has revealed that he’s not as keen on 3D as some of his Hollywood contemporaries.
While talking with Deadline, the actor failed to hide his distaste for the format, going so far as to call it a “waste of time and money”.
“Thank God this movie [X-Men: First Class] is not in 3D,” he said, “which is just an excuse to charge an extra ten bucks at the theatre.
“Then in the end, they’re not 3D at all. The idea of things coming out of the screen and making you jump out your seat are done very well, but I think it’s a waste of time and money and I wouldn’t pay for a ticket to go to one of those films.”
