Iron Man 3 adds a new villain, and Jon Favreau returns!
Jon Favreau will return to the Iron Man franchise in an acting capacity, and Shane Black has lined up another Marvel villain who’ll be familiar to fans…
Disney turning Matterhorn ride into a movie
Pirates Of The Caribbean proved that theme park rides could be turned into massively profitable franchises (at least if Johnny Depp’s involved).
Which explains why Pirates producers Walt Disney are looking to turn even more of their rides into movies.
Jon Favreau already has Magic Kingdom on the horizon, while Guillermo del Toro is producing The Haunted Mansion. Now Disney is fixing its ambitions on its popular Matterhorn ride.
Cowboys & Aliens gets a third trailer
With the release of Cowboys & Aliens fast approaching, a third and possibly final trailer has been released, and, handily, you can watch it below.
The film, directed by Iron Man helmer Jon Favreau and starring Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde, Harrison Ford and Sam Rockwell, opens later this summer.
Cowboys & Aliens is set in a seemingly generic old western town, so it’s something of surprise when some nasty aliens unleash terror on said town, and it’s up to Craig and Ford (AKA Bond and Indy) to lead the fight against them.
Action-heavy Cowboys & Aliens trailer lands
A new trailer for Jon Favreau’s summer hopeful Cowboys & Aliens has arrived online. It’s mouth-watering stuff, featuring snippets of new footage, but thankfully it’s not as spoiler-heavy as some promos.
We get to hear Daniel Craig’s Old West drawl in a little more detail, and there’s more of Olivia Wilde’s Ella (which is never going to be a cause for complaint). We even get a tiny glimpse of Sam Rockwell’s Doc. Apart from a mysterious looking hand, the extra-terrestrials are kept tantalisingly off-screen. And the trailer makes good use of an Audioslave soundtrack to turbo-charge the action.
Iron Man 3 won’t be directed by Jon Favreau
Director Jon Favreau will not be returning to direct Iron Man 3. In a blow to fans of the film franchise, Favreau – who directed both big screen outings Iron Man and Iron Man 2 – has cut all ties with the project.
