Michael Fassbender talks X-Men sequel
Michael Fassbender is one of the busiest men in Hollywood right now, which is why it’s so heartening to hear him tapping into his inner geek to hypothesise on plot possibilities for a potential sequel to X-Men: First Class.
Speaking to IFC about the potential direction of the next movie, he posed the idea that Magneto might not necessarily be portrayed as a fully fledged villain…
Michael Fassbender talks X-Men: First Class sequel ideas
Michael Fassbender’s career has gone certifiably supernova over the last year, and he looks set to continue that run with his upcoming triple-bill of Haywire, Shame and A Dangerous Method.
That’s not to mention Steve McQueen’s Twelve Year’s A Slave and Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, and there’s always the chance he’ll be called back for more mutant action, after having established a younger, meaner, cooler Magneto in X-Men: First Class…
Michael Fassbender talks RoboCop
The upcoming RoboCop reboot has had all manner of star names mooted to play futuristic law enforcer Alex Murphy. From Tom Cruise to Johnny Depp, with even Keanu Reeves’ name chucked in there, rumour after rumour has come and gone, without the project actually getting closer to any official casting.
However, one rumour that appears to be gathering pace is the notion that director José Padilha wants Michael Fassbender for the role. And according to an interview conducted by Collider, the X-Men star wouldn’t be against discussing the possibility.

James McAvoy talks X-Men: First Class sequel ideas
Total Film recently sat down with the new Professor X, James McAvoy, and naturally we grilled him about the potential of a sequel to X-Men: First Class.
When we asked him if he’d be up for a follow up to Matthew Vaughn’s mutant prequel, McAvoy told us, “I’d be up for it. But the truth is I’m contractually obliged to be up for it because they made us all sign multiple picture deals!”
But does he have any idea where the story will go, following on from the ending of First Class?
Michael Fassbender wants X-Men First Class 2
Michael Fassbender has been talking up his experiences on X-Men: First Class, saying he’s ready to put Magneto’s metal helmet back on and wave his hand in the air to make cars or whatever float around (we’re paraphrasing here).
“It was a very rewarding experience, so hopefully we’ll get the same team back again,” he said.
And it seems he especially enjoyed working with James McAvoy, despite the fact they experienced difficult circumstances

Funny X-Men: First Class deleted scene released
A deleted scene from X-Men: First Class proves there was definitely something to the countless intimate moments between Charles and Erik.
The clip, which will be released on the upcoming First Class DVD, takes place during the duo’s mutant recruitment montage, after they enter a gentlemen’s club to discuss teaming up with the insect-winged Angel.

James McAvoy to replace Michael Fassbender in Danny Boyle’s Trance?
James McAvoy could be replacing his X-Men: First Class co-star Michael Fassbender in Danny Boyle’s next movie Trance.
A remake of the 2003 TV movie, which was directed by Joe Ahearne, Trance follows an art heist that goes wrong.
How so? Well, the heist’s leader receives a blow to the head during one operation, and begins to suffer from amnesia – meaning the location of a painting they’ve nicked is a mystery.
Fassbender was originally in talks to star in the film, but now McAvoy has entered into negotiations, perhaps thanks to the former’s busy schedule.
