New trailer for Red Lights: watch now
Red Lights has followed yesterday’s batch of new character posters with a full-length trailer, showing Cillian Murphy and Sigourney Weaver investigating renowned psychic Robert De Niro.
Murphy and Weaver play a pair of physicists charged with investigating supposed “psychics” who make their living exploiting the vulnerable. Their work has become routine and tedious until the sudden re-emergence of the most eminent name in the field, Simon Silver (De Niro).

Second New Year’s Eve trailer goes behind the scenes
A new promo for New Year’s Eve has surfaced online, with cast and crew interviews scattered like party popper debris through the trailer footage.
Director Garry Marshall comes in for some flattery, being described as an “institution” and of being “a little sneaky because there’s an appearance of ease about him but he’s paying attention.”
The film follows the lives of several couples and singles as they intertwine in New York over the course of New Year’s Eve.
Jason Statham’s Killer Elite gets a smashing trailer
The first trailer for Jason Statham’s latest action film Killer Elite has busted its way online.
If you’re a fan of dirty fighting and even dirtier visuals, it looks like Elite was made just for you.
Statham plays an ex-special ops agent who is lured out of retirement (aren’t they all?) in order to rescue his mentor (Robert De Niro).
That rescue will involve killing three unkillable assassins, who are being led by Clive Owen’s tough-as-nails bad guy.
Promising minimal plotting but maximum thrills, Killer Elite looks like a fun actioner that knows not to take itself too seriously. Just look at Owen’s moustache for proof of that.

Steve Schapiro: “This image was shot after the most violent scene in the film - the last sequence with all the shooting and stabbing and wrestling.
“When Scorsese shouted ‘Cut!’, everyone just collapsed about laughing - it relieved a lot of the tension.
“During filming, you could sense that this was going to be one of the greatest films of all time. The intensity of the acting really boosted the feeling that Taxi Driver was destined to be a classic.”
