Transformers 3 Review
“Impress me!” demands horrible boss John Malkovich of Shia LaBeouf when the latter’s Sam Witwicky arrives for a job interview.
Those left cold by the last Transformers may well ask the same of Michael Bay before risking what looks likely to be his final orgy of Hasbro-inspired robo-carnage.
For them, good news. Transformers 3 (full title - Transformers: Dark Of The Moon) might struggle to equal the sheer exhilaration of Bay’s 2007 trilogy-starter, but it’s a whole lot more coherent and fulfilling than Revenge Of The Fallen.

“I talked to Harrison. He said he’s staying in the gym,” LaBeouf says. “He said he’s heard no word, but he does know that George [Lucas] is out there looking for a MacGuffin [plot device].”
“He said he’s staying in the gym, so it means, you know, it’s not so far off.”
Transformers: Dark Of The Moon theatrical trailer lands
Transformers: Dark Of The Moon has finally dropped a full length trailer, and by the looks of it, everything has been turned up to 11.
A franchise that has always delivered on action set-pieces and effects, Dark Of The Moon looks set to make the fist two parts look like weighty period dramas.
This time around there is a fully fledged invasion of Earth for Sam, Optimus and co to deal with… but enough of that: look at the explosions!
Leonard Nimoy joins Transformers Dark Of The Moon
As if the signs for Michael Bay’s third Transformers weren’t already pretty good, word comes today that the threequel’s just landed sci-fi icon Leonard Nemoy.

Sentinel was glimpsed in Transformers 3’s initial teaser trailer as a hunk of wreckage found on the dark side of the moon.

On her character, Carly, Huntington-Whiteley tells us: “She’s English and is working for the British embassy… I can’t tell you more! That’s all I can say for now!”
Huntington-Whiteley was cast as Sam’s (Shia LaBeouf) new girlfriend after Megan Fox left her breakthrough franchise.
“I went to the casting unaware they were looking for a new female lead”, says Rosie.
“We were told it was for a ‘nemesis’ role and I left thinking I was awful. The next day I was offered the lead!”
“I met with Shia that evening and within three weeks I was on set shooting my first scenes…”
