Costume changes are always subject to the times, as new artists come in and take characters in new directions. But perhaps the most interesting costume change for Spidey came in the form of the Iron Spider super-suit, which signalled a massive shake-up for Spidey, as he’s given a new colour scheme and, crucially, new abilities.

Unnecessary? Pretty much, but also impressively daring.

Ben Affleck could be joining The Great Gatsby

Moulin Rouge director Baz Lurhmann is taking his time prepping his adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic The Great Gatsby, but the film’s cast is coming along nicely.

With Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire already confirmed, the director’s now approached Ben Affleck for the novel adap.

Affleck is currently weighing up an offer to play Tom Buchanan, the husband of Daisy (Mulligan). Meanwhile, DiCaprio has bagged the titular Gatsby, and Maguire is narrator Nick Carraway.
