Vince Vaughn has entered talks to join Ben Stiller’s high-concept sci-fi comedy Neighborhood Watch.
The film’s been stumbling along in a drawn-out pre-production for a while, and takes Stiller into sci-fi terrain – a landscape he’s hardly visited in his career thus far.
Watch follows a group of dads who use the neighbourhood surveillance scheme to get away from their families. However, they have to step up when they uncover a plot to destroy the world.
Winona Ryder defends The Dilemma’s gay insult
Winona Ryder has waded into the controversy surrounding The Dilemma’s negative use of the word ‘gay’ in the trailer for Ron Howard’s rom-com, after Howard insisted this weekend that the line would stay in the film. The line “electric cars are gay” was removed from early Dilemma trailers, after the use of the word in a negative context was deemed offensive, causing outcry from gay rights groups and celebrities alike.
