Second New Year’s Eve trailer goes behind the scenes
A new promo for New Year’s Eve has surfaced online, with cast and crew interviews scattered like party popper debris through the trailer footage.  Director Garry Marshall comes in for some flattery, being described as an “institution” and of being “a little sneaky because there’s an appearance of ease about him but he’s paying attention.”  The film follows the lives of several couples and singles as they intertwine in New York over the course of New Year’s Eve.

Jon Bon Jovi joins New Year’s Eve
Jon Bon Jovi has signed up for Garry Marshall’s romantic comedy, alongside Inglorious Basterds actor Til Schweiger (and everyone else in Hollywood). The project was initially proposed as a sequel to 2010 romcom Valentine’s Day, but that plan was nixed - presumably due to the hostile critical reception that film recieved.
Like Valentine’s Day, the film will follow the lives and loves of a diverse group of New Yorkers as they celebrate the titular date. Mr. Bon Jovi has been cast as the rock star who encounters his ex, a caterer (Halle Berry) whilst celebrating at a party. We’re confident he’ll manage to nail the part.
